Anchor Rod

Anchor rods are essential support equipment in mining, tunneling, and underground construction. They work by being drilled into the rock or soil, and with the addition of anchoring agents, they provide strong support, preventing collapse and stabilizing the surrounding geological structures. Anchor rods are widely used in tunnel and mine support, as well as for underground infrastructure projects.

Anchor rod systems include several types, including Hollow Grouting Anchor Rods, Threaded Anchor Rods, Pipe Seam Anchor Rods, and Fiberglass Anchor Rods, each suited for different geological environments and support needs.

Hollow Grouting Anchor Rod

Based on different application requirements, hollow rock bolts can be categorized into:

Ordinary Hollow Grouting Anchor Bolt

Made of high-strength alloy steel, it offers high tensile strength and is suitable for complex geological conditions.

Self-Drilling Hollow Core Rock Bolt

This type uses a disposable drill bit and drill rod, with anchoring achieved through grouting. It is particularly suitable for tunnel excavation and reinforcing soft rock layers or soil in underground mines.

Prestressed Expansion Shell
Grouting Anchor Bolt

By rotating or tightening the nut, the expansion shell opens, creating a mechanical lock with the borehole wall. This is combined with grouting to enhance anchoring force.

Modular Hollow Anchor Bolt

Composed of multiple rod segments connected by coupling sleeves, this design allows for deeper anchoring needs compared to single rods, while maintaining a hollow structure for grouting purposes.

Solid rock bolt

Solid steel rock bolt

Solid threaded rock bolts are high-strength metal anchoring products. The bolt body features continuous rolled or cut threads, which can be used in conjunction with anchoring agents or other anchoring methods. They are widely applied in mine roadways, tunnels, and slope support.
The bolt body has a solid structure, offering high strength and rigidity. The anchoring length can be freely adjusted, enhancing installation flexibility.

Fiberglass Reinforced Polymer (FRP) Rock Bolt

Solid threaded rock bolts are high-strength metal anchoring products. The bolt body features continuous rolled or cut threads, which can be used in conjunction with anchoring agents or other anchoring methods. They are widely applied in mine roadways, tunnels, and slope support.
The bolt body has a solid structure, offering high strength and rigidity. The anchoring length can be freely adjusted, enhancing installation flexibility.

Solid rock bolts are a common geotechnical reinforcement and support product, widely used in mines, tunnels, slopes, foundation pits, and other engineering projects. They are primarily used to enhance the stability of rock masses and prevent the collapse of surrounding rock or soil.

Mechanically Anchored Rockbolt

A mechanically anchored rockbolt is a type of anchor rod that achieves anchoring through mechanical means, such as helical extrusion, expansion tubes, or friction, to tightly adhere to the borehole wall and generate anchoring force. It is easy to install, and its support force takes effect immediately. Compared to chemical anchor bolts, mechanical rockbolts typically do not require curing time and can provide support force right after installation, making them suitable for urgent support needs.

Friction-Anchored Rockbolt / Split Set Bolt

This is a type of slotted-tube anchor rod that primarily relies on friction for anchoring. It can provide support for medium loads but is not suitable for bearing excessively heavy loads.

Expanding Friction-Anchored Rockbolt / Swellex

The expanding friction rockbolt, or Swellex, is an inflatable friction anchor rod. It is adaptable to various anchoring conditions, offering quick and simple installation. By using a high-pressure water nozzle, it provides full-length support with both friction and mechanical interlocking functions.

Mechanically anchored rockbolts are widely used in mine roadways, tunnel support, and slope reinforcement. They are suitable for rock formations of medium hardness and relatively intact structure. Some types can be used in fractured rock layers, though their support capacity may be affected by rock stability.
